Press Release :: click here for archived press releases September 1st, 2004 Formation of Menschworks Entertainment, LLCLos Angeles, CA – September 1, 2004 – Todd Felderstein, the producer and director of the documentary MAGIC(S) announced today the formation of the production company, Menschworks Entertainment, LLC where MAGIC(S) is earmarked as the first production to fall under this new banner. As for the latest with MAGIC(S), it is nearing a final edit which is only weeks away. Much of the documentary has been scored and the rights to two additional musical numbers are pending. Festival deadlines are fast approaching so we are in overdrive in order to have MAGIC(S) included in these upcoming events. MAGIC(S) is the remarkable story of a medical magician as he travels throughout Israel delivering humor and smiles to multi-cultural children throughout the pediatric hospitals of the land. It is an account of the healing powers of humor in a country that can really use a reason to smile. Through these many hospital wards “Magic Michael's” kids and their families welcome his arrival with such amazing glee that you often forget these Israeli, Arab, Jordanian, Russian, Bulgarian, etc. children are in a medical facility fighting life-threatening diseases. His magic reaches every corner of each region, from child to adult as the remnants of his visits, both balloon animals and smiles, litter the environment with effervescent joy. What makes this account that much more compelling is that Magic Michael's talents are portrayed against the backdrop of a conflicted country embattled in this current intifada. Since the country's medical treatment is socialized we were privy to discussions with those who have actively participated in the present turmoil. What is captured are very candid personal accounts of the political climate as they express their beliefs with attempts to justify random acts of confusion and bloodshed. MAGIC(S) evolves into much more than a story of Magic Michael; it develops into the reality of how cultures, with such opposing viewpoints and deep-seated hatred can continue to function, side by side, both in a hospital and on the map. Once again, thank you for your continued support. Press Contacts: Website:
