THE DIRECTOR

Todd Felderstein – His most recent credit is as a writer in the inaugural season of Sony/Marvel/MTV's SPIDER-MAN. He has written, directed and produced in the independent film arena most recently taking the Silver Remi at Worldfest Houston and honors at the EarthVision 2003 for a cutting environmental PSA aimed at the recklessness of the timber industry. His very first film, GESUNDHEIT, premiered at the inaugural year of the Temecula International Film Festival. He has directed a series of “documentary-ettes”, abbreviated tributes, honoring The Barbra Streisand Foundation, Ed Begley, Jr., the late Frank G. Wells, the late Timothy Treadwell among many others.

Todd won the Los Angeles based “Greenlight Night” for his story, THORNTON U. and was a Roy W. Dean grant finalist.

Theatrically, his tenure is rooted in directing at a variety of Hollywood's legendary mainstays. He also spent two years as a resident director at Theatre Rapport.

Prior to motion picture filmmaking, Todd’s history rests in still photography having been published on a number of occasions in both magazines and billboards.

Todd also serves on the board of directors for The Story Project – an after-school mentoring program implemented throughout Southern California. Founded by Dina Merrill and Ted Hartley (co-chairman and chairman of RKO Pictures respectively), their foundation utilizes professionals in the entertainment industry in order to improve literacy and self-esteem among high-risk youths.

Todd Felderstein attended L.A.C.C.’s film program, UCLA for screenwriting and studied under Ted Post in his master directing class. Raised in Baltimore, Md., Todd holds a bachelors degree from the University of Maryland.
